Shawn learned early that he loved the sciences and teaching. His plan to become a high school chemistry teacher eventually morphed into a becoming college professor. He is forever grateful to the people who mentored him along the way and his happiest days on campus are always focused on student growth and breaking new ground in chemical discoveries.
